Breakfast Chef – 5* Hotel – South Dublin
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef to take the next step in their career with an excellent team of chefs in a well-known hotel and have a great work/life balance.
Candidate Requirements:
- The Breakfast Chef will be responsible for the daily food preparation & duties that meet the standard expected.
- The Breakfast Chef will understand the daily production needs and quality of food products.
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies including hygiene.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
- Preparation of hot and cold food for breakfast service to the highest standard
- Ensuring a consistently high level of food service at all times through knowledge of menu items and awareness of commodities used, preparation, methods and cooking.
- Assisting as necessary with stock control and identifying methods for improving food service Ensuring kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and relevant health and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
The following key criteria and skills are required for this role:
- Experience of working in a similar role within a high-quality establishment and ability to produce quality food to the highest standard.
- Ability to run and maintain breakfast service.
- Current certificate in Basic Food Preparation, Health, and Hygiene or similar.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driven with a passion for food and quality produce.
- Creative with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment and maintain a consistently high standard of food delivery under pressure.
- Positive and flexible approach to work.
- Shifts for this position start from 5am, so you will need to be able to travel to be in for this time.
