Chef de Partie – Daytime Café

Location: Kilkenny
Pay: €16–€18 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Wednesday to Sunday – daytime hours only
Schedule: No late nights

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in a busy café in Kilkenny.

This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced kitchen but wants a better work-life balance and consistent daytime hours.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
• Taking responsibility for your section during service
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
• Helping with food preparation, stock rotation and general kitchen organisation
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Contributing ideas and helping maintain a positive kitchen environment

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
• A strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
• Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
• A positive attitude and good team-working skills
• Someone who takes pride in producing quality food
