Events Sous Chef

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef looking for something a little different.

We’re currently recruiting for an Events Sous Chef to join an exciting and fast-paced events catering operation.

This is a genuinely varied role where no two days are the same. Depending on the event, you could be working on anything from outdoor BBQs and food trucks to corporate events and formal sit-down plated dinners.

The role involves working across different venues and locations, so it’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety, meeting new teams and adapting to different environments.

The role

• Supporting the Head Chef and kitchen team across a wide range of events.
• Preparing and delivering high-quality food across different catering styles.
• Working on everything from BBQs, food trucks and casual street food to plated dinners and larger-scale events.
• Helping with kitchen setup, preparation and service at different venues.
• Leading and supporting the wider kitchen team during busy events.
• Maintaining excellent standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.
• Being flexible and adaptable to the needs of each event.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have previous Sous Chef or strong senior chef experience, with a passion for producing great food and working in a busy environment.

You’ll need to be:

• Confident working across different styles of catering.
• Organised, reliable and able to remain calm under pressure.
• A strong team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible and happy to work across different venues and events.
• Passionate about food and delivering a high standard of service.
• A driver with a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as locations of work can vary.
