An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Sous Chef or ambitious Head Chef to join a newly renovated restaurant and bar in Trim.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who wants to take ownership of a kitchen, develop menus and play a key role in shaping a food-led restaurant.

The property has a strong focus on quality Irish food, local ingredients and seasonal produce, with an opportunity for the successful chef to put their own stamp on the menu and kitchen operation.

About the Head Chef role

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the management team to develop the restaurant’s food offering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing creative, seasonal and Irish-led menus
• Making the most of local and Irish produce
• Working with local suppliers
• Leading and developing the kitchen team
• Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
• Managing food costs, GP, stock and ordering
• Ensuring excellent kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Managing kitchen prep and service
• Helping to establish the restaurant as a leading food destination in Trim

The ideal candidate

This role would particularly suit a Senior Sous Chef ready for their first Head Chef position.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or Head Chef
• Experience in a quality restaurant, gastro pub or food-led hospitality environment
• A genuine passion for cooking and quality produce
• An interest in Irish cuisine and local ingredients
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
• Good understanding of food cost, GP, ordering and stock control
• The ambition to develop menus and build a strong kitchen operation
• A hands-on approach and a passion for delivering great food
