Sous Chef

Dublin | Full-time | Permanent | €42,000+ per year

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a kitchen team in Dublin.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, hands-on chef who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy professional kitchen.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help lead the kitchen team and ensure consistently high standards of food, service and hygiene.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
• Preparing and cooking high-quality food to a consistently high standard
• Ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen service
• Managing your section and supporting the wider kitchen team
• Assisting with menu development, specials and daily preparation
• Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control
• Supporting stock control, ordering and food cost management
• Training and developing junior chefs
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

What We’re Looking For

Experience is essential.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
• Experience working in a busy, professional kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
• A strong understanding of HACCP and food safety
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• A hands-on approach and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for food and high standards
